    Be very careful when anchored in fast water not to drop the motor into the water. Up here in Redding several boats a year are sunk doing this exact thing.

    Forgive my ignorance as I am new to drift boating. I don't see what the problem could be with the motor down.

    I am in Redding and just picked up a used boat with an outboard. I hope to drift the lower Sac and would like to avoid sinking my boat. Thanks
