Break out some of that Simms gear, it makes fishing in the winter almost bearable! The Extreme Hat is goofy looking but it's great!

With the mild weather and warmer than normal water temps we have had, Dec will be more like a Nov this year. I have caught plenty of stripers this year but the average size is down a lot from last year, lots of dinks with the bigger fish only averaging 3 to 4 pounds, last year it was more like 5 to 7 pounds.

Across the board people are expressing the same sentiments regardless of tackle or gear used, etc.

I'm having thoughts that all the dead fish I saw while rescuing living fish from Prospect Island last year are the "missing" 7 to 10 pounders! Of course there were plenty of dead larger fish too.
