    Default Golden Chrome

This is what a topwater striper junkie lives for.

I also call this lighting and color, Samish Gold. It is also the name of my boat and reminds me of the color of my late Golden Retriever(Samish). She spent more time on the Delta than most can only dream about.

I honored her this eve with a couple of nice Topwater Stripers, 16 & 12 lbs.

Thanks KD........looks like some place in 'fly fishing heaven'.

I have heard you talk about top water Striper timing before but what is the peak month(s) for it.

I know 'you' can do it year round but what about a timing for us normal/occasional anglers so we have more going for us.

I guess smooth water and low light is good too?

What would be a good outfit/setup for top water Stripers? Rod, line, leader and fly?

I heard you talk about it in a seminar but have you written about it in an article? ............on your web site?

    Default Why no pic?...

Why is it I cannot view this pic on my Mac??.

Adam, i was by myself. I had picked up and dropped my clients off at their Duck club and fished my way back to Stockton. They called it early to prepare for the Duck opener today. I wish they hadn't left the girl at the dance...they missed out..i had to take her home

But, I would have rather seen them have the opportunity to catch these fish.

So no, there are no pics of these fish. They are just a "little"!! lit up when they take on top in shallow water so....solo, with hands full, getting them to the boat and back in the water is all i care about. If i had someone with me i may have taken some quick pics. Not my first topwater rodeo..

To see your picture, did you log in? I couldn't see it either and then I noticed I wasn't logged in yet. Great picture!

I'd be happy to fish with you and take your picture....just let me know when

I'm available most days and some weekends. I'll even bring my own camera.

Ahhhh, looks like the water we had last week. Remember the HUGE tail swirl and the missed opportunity the fish gave us. I should of been filming instead of fishing. Anyway, we had a couple nice fish. Like I mentioned, I could go fishless and would still enjoy the "Blowups".

    See you Nov. 7th

I might bring the laptop so we can watch the new DVD Bass Blast Vol 1. Just touching up a few things and adding some of Ken's suggestions and then it's off for "making copies"
