    Default Isonychia mayfly adults

Last weekend on the Trinity these bugs started emerging in pretty good number, almost every rock in the section we were fishing in had at least one adult on each rock. I sat and watched a few of the nymphs crawls out of the water and then hatch, it was cool to watch.

Here's an adult right after emerging, the tails are still in the nymphal shuck:

I have seen the Isonychia mayfly on the Trinity River in the Fall.

Maybe that is why a peacock bodied fly or a Silver Hilton is popular up there?

They should be coming off on the MF of the Feather River and the Pit River now too.

Noe uses an October Caddis dry, damp, emerger and nymph on the Klamath River for Steelhead.

Quick question, how are the colors up north, has everything started changing or did i miss out already?

When I was there 2 weeks ago they had started to change but they needed more time to change. They should be good right now. If someone else know please tell us, I'm interested as well.
