    Default Novice Needs Help

My wife and I are fly fishing novices from San Diego. We will be driving up the 395 to our time share in South Lake Tahoe in early October. I was hoping some of you could give us some help/info/advice on where we would stand a good chance of finding a lot of willing fish whom we can practice our casting, hooking and playing on. We are more interested in large numbers versus large fish. We only get up to the Sierras a couple of times a year. And we are strict C&R practitioners.

Thank you all for any help and advice.

Contact the guys at this fly shop at south Tahoe and get a guide for a day, at least. They can also direct to the best local waters.

I would try the West Walker, 395 follows the river for several miles with great access. However, the water level is getting very low.
