got out after work and a quick stop a Kienes to pick up my new sun glasses they order for me.....Smith action optics..... realy sharp and clear I didn't know how scratche my old ones were till i put these ones on......great fit also... Kiene's has lots of sun glasses to try on.. to get the right fit and then if tey dont have the right color or frame in stock they are jhonny on the spot with their custom ordering......ok enough of the comerical and back to the fishing........

It was slow.............

not many fish to hand only about twelve to fifteen between two rods.......
in about 3.5 hours of casting,casting,un tieing knots and, casting some more............
i was getting severe line twist..... i think my fly was tracking funny....

we did pull one in the boat that went just over 8#'s.......and I got some nice shots of some small ones coming to the boat under water with the new camera...... so i will post some shots soon.......

ok here is the 8#'er that Dave landed

after fishing we spoke with another guy fishing the river and he said "That fly is like cocaine to those stripers"

I might have to rename it now

April through October is the time for Stripers on the Lower American River right here in Sacramento.

I tied up some of your Eganators, my name for your fly.
I gave a few to Jerry to test on the Delta.
I tied them on the same cheap hook as you did so he can show that the fish had to be big, because of the bent hooks.

No fish picture,just bent hooks.
