Well since our usual spot has been slow went out and tried a new area. Found one area that's wadeable in the lower stretch, that was good habitat for lots of baitfish. We managed about a dozen shakers to hand, with a lot of missed strikes from really small stripers. Highlight of the evening was when a few fish moved into the shallows to chase bait, caught one, was more spotty than striped, but he spit his dinner up on me, about a 4 inch long squawfish. The squawfish was still kicking, but in bad shape, hopefully another striper finished it off as my bro threw it out into the main channel.
