Pit 4 lake

Has anybody ever fished the lake section below Powerhouse 3 and above Powerhouse 4 on the pit? I fished the Pit this weekend and noticed this section, and wondered whether it's too warm and shallow to hold trout, or whether one could have a blast with a float tube.

The Pit River fishes well around June and in Sept/Oct in the highly aerated pocket water.

If I was going to fish those big lakey areas it would be when that water is colder. May and November maybe, but who knows?
