Monday Evening Report

Got down to the river about 1830. Bryan Morgan and his buddy Paul were already getting into a few. I went downstrean a little to fish with Bruce for a while. Got one and LDRed another one using my spey rod. Bruce and I went back up to where Bryan and Paul were fishing. I should have stayed up there because Bryan and Paul hooked them consistently during the hour I spent downstream. Switched to a single hand rod with a Type 2 head and hooked one on my second cast. Paul ended up with 12 (he's a fish magnet), Bryan 4, Bruce 2, and myself 5 (using you know what). It's not red hot but at least you can find one here and there. Jeff C.

Jeff, thanks for the report. Unfortunateley today was another day, and it looks like that school has moved out. tomorrow is another day and we will give it hell tomorreow. Bryan

Hey Bryan! You should have stuck around. As usual Paul (fish magnet) hooked into them regularly. He ended up with 11, Bruce got 6 down low, and I got 4. Robin (Mrs.Finsallaround) caught her first shad and stayed out even after I got off the water. See ya this evening. Jeff C.

Ok, so here I am watching the rod tip as my line drifts downstream...


And, here's my first & only Shad caught around 8:55 pm


Dorky picture, but that shad wasn't too happy about being on my hook and kept flipping and splashing around...

I'll be out there again tonight trying again! I'm liking the whole work all day and still get to go fishing thing....
