Default Kayak fishing for Nevada Rainbows

Cody went to a lake in Nevada on the Utah/Nevada border and fished from his kayak . He landed 3 Rainbows from 18 -22 inches . Here are photos of the fish . He caught two on damsel flies and one one a black Midge dry fly .

Nice football looking bows. Cool pics Rob, thanks for posting.

Damn I need to get out fishing this year. Haven't had a chance to wet a fly yet, . Next week I'm going up to Chico and will at least get to fish a 1/2 day .

Cody is 19 years old now and 6'4 and as always , out fishes me ( just ) about every time we go . He is the assistant manager at the local fly shop here in Cache valley . He will be leaving June 25 to serve a mission for our church . This Old man is going to miss him SOOOO much . I get all teary eyed and chocked up every time i think of my # 1 fishing and hunting Partner being gone that long . Cody and i are as close as any father and son can be . He has been such a delight to have at home .

He'll be home before you know it. But you still have a couple of weeks to get some more fishing in.

Nice fish. It bodes well for that lake this year. I have fished it before in the fall. It should keep getting better over the summer. Am excellent choice for flyfishing.
