trout streams to fish during high runoff??

A few of my buddies and I want to go trout fishing the weekend of the May 30th. In looking at the flows of alot of the mountian streams and rivers, appear to be flowing real high due to the snow melt. We were considering fishng one of the forks of the american river or maybe the mokelunme near the electra run. We do not want to drive more than about 2 hours from Sac. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to go. Smaller streams would be okay too.

How about some of our lower rivers? Like the Yuba. Also on Sat 5/31 several of the lower streches in your area open, like the Calaveras, Mokelumne. Hope it helps.

Oops! The Moke and the Calaveras are already open. I forgot its the 4th Sat in May not the last Sat.
