    Default Eagle Lake?

I have never fished Eagle Lake, but see that it is opening this Saturday. Can you fly fish there this time of year, or will the fish be in deeper water? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

The fish can be shallow on that first opening week if the spring has not been too warm.

I would give it a shot.....................

Phil it'll probably be pretty crowed this weekend but ti can be good. You might want to check out this site it's got some very good up to the minute information on Eagle Lake.

Bill I've seen the fly-fishing at Eagle stay hot as late as the second week of June - you never know.

Sonny, the black lab, ran ahead to make sure there were no gophers or jackrabbits in the way. If you don't give a dog a specific job, he'll improvise one for himself and it will invariably be fun. There's a lesson there.
