Elwood: It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.
Jake: Hit it.
Choose one photo huh? You really want this to be difficult.
I will have to go with this Short-Eared Owl from Cosumnes. It was taken February 23, and is currently hanging in the dining room as a 16x24 inch print.
Bolden,
I love your DOF and that bokeh. His eye really makes a statement with that evening light.
Wonderful shot!

Rob,
I would have to agree with your wife, that is an incredible shot.
Out of curiosity, which way are you facing? I ask because it could make an awesome sunset or sunrise picture if it rises over the mountains in the picture.
To everyone else, thanks for the cool pictures and hopefully more people will join in.
I was facing southwest .Originally Posted by bolden
I took this one last night . The clouds are a little soft , so i am not sure what i think about it . This one i was facing northeast . I also took it with my camera upside-down and used the flash to highlight the bulrushes in the foreground . That' a yellow-headed blackbird on the bulrushes on the point .
