    Mike,

    Beautiful fish!

I caught one at about 5:00 PM yesterday that was 22" on a size 18 caddis.

    Charles,

I caught my fish on a caddis dry fly. I had quite a bit of slack in my line when I hooked this fish. While I was desperately trying to pull in the slack, I lost my balance for a momment. By the time I regained my balance there was so much slack, I didn't even feel the fish any longer. I reeled in the slack and to my delight the fish was still there. It jumped three times and put quite a bend in my 5 wt.

There was very little visable feeding activity. I got the one take that I landed and another on the swing at the end of a drift - a strong hit, but no hook up.

Charles I'll tell you but keep it a secret. #16 olive caddis with a #16 hunchback infrequens dropper about 16" off the dry. It seems they should be taking the bigger caddis on the surface, but it seems they are taking egg laying caddis coming off the bottom also.

Yea my fiancee' tells me next time I tell her " home bout noon " I should add "honey get the bible"
I swear I'll be home by noon this time!!
