    Default Fly Tying Day

Just got off the phone with Bill and we confirmed a date for a day of fly tying. It's set for March 15th at the shop.....Yeah, I know it's a short notice but I only have a few weekends, actually no other weekends available. I wanted to squeeze this in before the Kiene Fly Fair.

So, I'll be tying the deer hair bugs. Floating minnows, zara spooks and hopefully a swim bait pattern will be on the agenda. I was at a lake today working on the zara spook, teaching him how to walk and a trout ate the huge bug 6/0. This is definitely a BIG fly. Everyone has seen the crankbait flies so I'm leaving those home.

Being that the bass topwater action hasn't really come alive and I know a lot of bass tourn. guys who are fishing here have been using a crank bait lure.
Let's see, sinking lines, short leaders and a crank bait diver - going out Monday to feed some fish

Hope to see you next week

That's just next weekend, a week from tomorrow.

    Should be a great event.
