    Default Folsom - Skunk-B-gone !!!!

Hit Folsom puddle around 10:30 today . Kicked my way over to the dam in time to see some BOILS

Paul Egan joined me .... we made a few casts ....... ZAP !! Nice 18 inch Landlocked King Salmon !! As I land mine .... Paul gets bit - his is slightly larger . We landed 3 to 19 inches , and lost a few others . Gray/White and Chart/White #2 Clousers (slim profile) on I lines . Kings were feeding in the top 15 feet .

Not a bad way to ring in 2008 , with my first lake Kings on a fly !!!!

I can't BS you guys ..... last time I was out was mid-December (got blanked , on top of it) .

1 1/2 months without fishing might as well be 10 years . Nice to have things click out the gate !! BTW , the Kings fought very well ( no jumping , however ...) - I used my Smallmouth rod , a Fenwick WC 8 foot 6 wt. .

I'm hoping to fish out there again tomorrow , if the Bass at C.P. can wait

    Nice David,

I've been scouting the puddle as well. So low..
Shame to what has happened to all the trees over on the South Side with the construction. I walked the dog for the first time this winter the other day over there and couldn't believe it.
I hit C.P. today for some nice sunnies!!

    David,

@ size 6-8 heavily weighted damsels/green- somthing. I had on an old, knot-shortened leader, probably no longer than 5'. The retrieve was slow to painfully slow, sink.
I would love to meet up with some people out there!
My schedule is off right now due to the birth of my first daughter
I can probably sneak out once in a while, random times though.
Like to throw that rubber-bouncer out there....

Thanks for the info , as well .

I went back to Folsom yesterday - fished w/ Robin and Paul and got BLANKED . Paul landed 1 Salmon and 1 Trout - Robin caught a fat Spottie . This was from 10:30 'till dusk !!! Too slow for my taste .....

    Thanks guys,
David, sorry for the partial hijack here...didn't mean it.
We should look at getting a small group together out there. Only going to get better from here.
