Susan had a couple days, more or less (mostly less!), free time, so we spent some time fishing stripers in the delta. Most of the water we ran thru was 42*-43*, a bit chilly. Finally we hit a stretch of 44*-44.5*. From this area we were able to glean 3-4 hits apiece and one fish lost and one fish of about 8#-10# for the table. An OK couple hours of tossing before we had to leave today.
Stuck with topwater yesterday to no avail and one had to REALLY stay awake today to connect with the few very light opportunities. Does tend to make it a fun game, no less.
The weather remained quite pleasant, low wind, bright skies, even if a bit chilly.
Hope the S.F.Eel comes to shape soon so's we kin try out our new fishing license that came in the mail.....yahoo!
