Which Non-Profit Should We Donate To?

Since it's nearing the end of the year, and now would be the time to think about giving money to a worthy cause, which non- profit should one donate to that would use the donation to further conservation and fisheries in California?
I would like to know what the people on this board would think.

If we're talking about fish/wildlife, my favorites are the Nature Conservancy and Duck's Unlimited. Both of these organizations purchase/retire land for conservation purposes.... Undoubtedly, There're many more that others will favor that do very good work, as well.
