    Default Caples Lake

My dad and i headed up earlier today hoping to find some cruisers, and we did. I only landed one, but he was very big, and my dad lost one of a similar size. We measured it against the rod and it came out to about 23-24 inches, and he was extremely wide.

If you go up, try to fish as early as possible until about 1 oclock, which is when they went deeper. A simple brown wooly booger was all that was needed.

Here is a picture of that fish and some others while i was bored. By the way, i did get rid of the line that was wrapped around the fished mouth.

    Thanks Ben

I think we are missing out by not hitting many Nor Cal trout lakes late in the season.

Nice fish, bolden. I've seen some big cruisers up there but never hooked into one.

I never have very much luck at Caples, or the other lakes in that area either. I hear the lakes further north are fishing good right now.
