    Default Winter Steelhead Photos....

I'm in the process of getting ready to leave for my first steelheading of the season, heading North Wednesday or Thursday for 8-9 days. Too much work forced me to miss the entire Fall season on the Trinity. However, I was able to read the numerous reports and enjoy the photos posted on this forum. As my excitement builds for my upcoming trip, I looked through some pictures of last winter steelhead season and thought some of you would get some enjoyment from these photos, just I have enjoyed the many photos posted throughout the Fall.

Bill, Mik: You're welcome! Glad you enjoyed them. It is 6:15 am Thursday right now and I am loaded and leaving for Oregon in 5 minutes. I just checked the river flows and weather.com one last time. Looks like I will be fishing the Smith on Friday and Saturday, based on the flows. I hope to fish all through next week on the Smith, Chetco, Illinois and maybe the Rogue near Agness. I may head home via the Eel.

Did you see the post by Erhetta last week? The picture of him with his first Steelie was great! That's about how I feel right now as I anticipate my first fishing since June! Adios.
