Default Rain on the Klamath River

On Thursday/Friday we heard the Klamath River had gone from 3,000cfs to 30,000cfs after a lot of rain.

Now it is down to around 12,000cfs.

I think this is pretty factual.

The whole region got a big shot of water. It rained here for almost a week, which is unusual for this time of year. Several rivers had some pretty impressive jumps in water flows. Take a look at the Smith and Chetco gages on line. I think the Chetco jumped 14' overnight and I know the Smith was over 20' on it's gage. The fall salmon are coming into both rivers now and the water is dropping very rapidly. The Weather man says this week the weather will be nice.

The Klamath crested at over 40,00 cfs on friday/saturday. That cancelled our planned trip to Happy Camp. Plan B was excellent however...

I'll fill everyone in on plan B later this evening. Finsane and myself had a pretty good trip.
