Had 2 good reports from Eagle Lake that the fish are in the shallows.

There are hundreds of lakes in the mountains that are good now.

I got two reports from gear fishermen-- one said he limited every day and had several fish at 24-inches, fishing Big troxel and by the castle. The other said he got out rather late every day, but managed fair fishing. The weather, like down here, has been on and off. My boy's six this Novemeber and going to a Montessori school for K. garden, so I'm thinking i might take him up there for 5-days in early November to get the fall experience there. i'm figuring if the weather's good, he can have a ball sight-fishing with crappie jigs, or working the deep drops and tules with them. next year he'll be in public school and that will limit these trips for the next 18 years. Gotta live now. never know what's in the future.
