    Default Milton Lake

Anyone ever try Milton this time of the year? Is it worth a trip?

    Hi Bill,

Chuck Campana, who works at the shop on Sundays, is a big fan of Milton Reservoir.

I will ask him for you by email.

It's a lovely little place but can be tough fishing.

Many lakes fish really well in October though.

This may be a little late but Milton can produce some great fish this time of year.Think small flies and long light leaders.12-14' leaders down to 6x and midge patterns in 20's and 22's.If there are any Callibaetis hatching try a size 14 Mahogany dun in the herringbone section of the lake.Milton is lightly pressured this time of year, but there might be some hunters in the area so don't be surprised about gunfire.Hope this helps!
