The Yucatan's Newest Destination for Baby Tarpon!

Hello Anglers!

I am sitting here in Cancun now and am very excited to give you a quick report and update about our newest destination, Isla del Sabalo. Ken Hanley and I ventured down here to observe the ground breaking of the new lodge and, of course, do some spectacular baby Tarpon fishing.

We were excited to work first hand with the project lead in designing the facitlies and accommodations. Even more, it was great to fish with Ken again and experience the pristine baby Tarpon fishing at this remote destination.

I am sure that when Ken gets home he will chime in a give his rendition of our experience.

Made it back home. Whew what can I say except FUN -- FUN -- FUN! Great quality fish, superb habitat (turtle grass flats, mangrove rivers, estuary & lagoons), and extensive access. The ability to have a base for operations in this remote section of Western Yucatan is very exciting. The project is developing right on schedule. :P
