Default 2 new rods broke in real good

Spent another day on the river with James and had a blast. We both had brand new rods that were just itching to get in the water. We both landed 6 or so nice fish, with top honors going to me with a 14". Average fish was around 11-12".

    My big one

My first fish on my new rod.

And James with one of his beauties.

Everytime I fish with James I catch fish, I guess he is stuck with me now.
So long and thanks for all the fish!!!

    Very nice, Scott.

Ummm, let me guess. TFO 8'6" 3wt professional series?

What river is that (if you don't mind me asking)?

    Looks like a great day!

What reel did you end up with on the new green stick James?

We had such a blast! I'm totally hooked on Winstons! My 3wt BIIx landed me every fish I hooked. That pic is the first fish of the day and that bugger fought so freakin hard

Scott did win the big fish award! I can't even imagine the fight on that guy

I can't wait to use that bad boy BIIx again. I matched with a Hardy Marksman - thanks roostergt for the advice, and Andy @ Kiene's for the hook up - and a RIO Selective Trout DT. I was throwing indicators and BB's no sweat.

I couldn't ask for a better set up, it truly was an incredibly enjoyable day. A big thanks to Scott for making it an awesome day!

    James,

The Hardy Marksman was a good reel choice. I've fished one for about a year now. You will love it.
