    Default Farm Pond Triple

O.K. so you have heard of the trout Grand Slam, I present the farm pond Triple today.

Went fishing close to home in Petaluma today( to hot for anything else) and caught three different fish at the local pond.

    First base a largemouth bass

    Second base a Bluegill

And Third base I am not sure I think a shad of some sort. It was about 8 inches and hit a dry adams size 12. Anyone who can help with i.d. thanks.

p.s. all fish safely photographed and released for me to catch tomorrow....Craig.

Thanks David. I just read about them and they are supposedly a great food fish for trophy bass. I guess I should tie a large golden clouser and see what I catch....Craig.

    Craig -

    I like to use a Gold-body , Olive Rabbit strip Zonker ..... size 2 , 6X long or size 4 , 4x long to immitate small Shiners .

They get fair sized here, I've caught them to about 13 inches . Bass love them !!

Right on Craig! It's nice being able to catch fish at a local pond.
