Muddy on the Lower Moke
A friend tried the Moke below Comanche Dam on 8/15. Here's what he had to say:
"The river was very muddy as crews were dumping gravel in the river just below the dam to provide good nesting sites for salmon. Workers told me that last year the fish went nuts what with all the bugs stirred up by the machinery. However this year they wanted anglers to stay well down stream for safety reasons (not an unreasonable request). I tried for several hours without any action at all. The work will be done this week and the resulting river will be a very new river as many of the holes, including the top hole, are being filled in."
