bonneville54, nice dogs and your house looks great in the snow.

I especially like the jazz singer reference, I'm more partial to Billie Holliday and her unique voice but it's hard to beat Ella's clean and smooth style.

This is my boat dog Roy, he really likes to help when landing fish.

    Here he is helping Jbird

And this is how he spends his down time when he isn't raising hell with everything on the hill we live.

I need more pics of Malakai on fishing trips! He looks so cool sitting on the bank after swimming, his muscles are bulging and his face is so serious

This thread reminds me of one of my favorite quotes:

"I will always aspire to be the man my dog thinks I am."

Here is my favorite fishing partner and also the perfect backpacking companion. The most devoted creature on earth (but I'm sure most people would say that about their dogs).

Another assist by Roy. This dog has probably assisted on as many steelhead as any that has ever lived. He's funny!

    This thread is AWESOME!

James, you have some good looking dog. What are you training your dog to do, it was impressive but is there a special purpose or is it just for fun and fitness?

Wooly Bugger, those dog shoes are great, so is the dog's "back pack." Labs are great dogs. Nice portrait as well, good looking dog.

I took a picture of a dog with shoes on because I found it very funny, in your dogs case they serve a purpose to protect the paws against the sharp rocks and stuff, not in this case:

    This dog is stylin!

Working/sporting dogs will NEVER quit on you! I realized that one day when we were about 5 miles into a hike before I discovered that his pads were bleeding like crazy. He never slowed down or even showed the slightest bit of pain. I, however, hadn't felt guilt like that for quite some time. Needless to say, the "shoes" were purchased as soon as we returned to civilization. No problems since. As for the backpack, when I'm already carrying 4 or 5 days worth of supplies on my back, I figure the least he can do is carry his own food. Again, no complaints from him!

Sweet shoes on the golden, but the look on the dogs face just screams: "Please don't look at my silly shoes. It was my owners decision, not mine."
