    Default Shakespeare Purist 7597 reel Model DJ

    Anyone familiar with this reel?
    I just got one but can't seem to find anything about age, line, etc...

    The 2 letter code on most Shakespeare reels is a date code and not actually part of the model number. See this chart for more info:
