Default Clark Fork of the Stanislaus River

I took a little trip up to the Stanislaus national forest area for the weekend and fished the Clark Fork of the Stanislaus, A nice little river, both mornings I didnt see anyone else fishing the area I was at. It was awsome. I was using dry flies the whole time too. I only fished a few hours in the morning the 2 days I was there and landed 15 or so fish. There was alot of mayfly and caddis activity with a few stones in the air. Hot flies for me were Stimulators and Royal Wolfs. It was a great trip. Here are some shots.

A few nice shots of the river...

The average fish size was about 6-10 inches like this one here..

This was one of the better fish I landed on my trip..

Awesome! Thanks for the pics. I am heading up that way this weekend and might just take a detour to check out the clark fork.

Nic, that's one bad-assed looking river. I'm gonna have to get up there myself one of these days. Thanks for the pics. Ed
Elwood: It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

    Jake: Hit it.
