    Default Best float

Hoping to have a day coming up when I can Haul the drift boat up to Sac for a shot at stripers. What do you all think would be the best float? Best time of day?

Thanks for your help. Don't get out as much these days since the baby was born and am a little out of the loop.

    luck to you all

As the weather warms most are starting up higher like at Sailor Bar or Rosemoor Bar.

You could float to Watt Avenue if you have time.

Try to start real early but they can be caught all day long.

Try smaller flies now and longer FC leader.

Cast quartering down stream and be very quiet.

A lot of times they will take the fly as it drops and you won't feel it...pay close attention. My buddy caught tons on Monday.
