Default Owyhee River in northeastern Oregon

Bill Carnazzo just returned from a road trip where he fished 3 days on the Owyhee and said it was incredible.

This is one of the new secret trophy trout fisheries of the west.

Bill with have a report up soon with photos.

Fished it last year with Bruce and Don and had one of the best days of fishing I have ever had - - it rained and a pmd hatch got going that was unbeliveable - I easily hooked 40 browns - the smallest no smaller than 15" and several in the mid 20's. It can be tough fishing though - fish are often on small midges and this can certainly be challenging.

    Rick,

I think Bill Carnazzo said it was all on "Zebra Midges".
