    Default travelin' shad

I'm coming in from Utah for a conference next week and was planning on taking wednesday to fish. Can someone recommend fishable waters within walking distance (couple of miles) from downtown? I'm bringing my heavy 6-wt, sink tip, and waders and would love to land a few shad while I'm out your way. Any advice would be much appreciated!

People are catching Shad in the river now.

They seem to be scattered from River Park/Cal Expo upstream to Nimbus Dam.

Mornigs and evenings are normally best.

Call the shop and ask for Andy.
