I'm headed out tonight for my first shad trip of the year on the American. Was going to maybe start with Gristmill area. Anyone with new reports since the weekend?

We hear the most about the area above the Sunrise Bridge.

Be sure to fish the last 2 hour up till dark.

Eight fish on, three landed, in 1 hr last night. Small bright yellow/orange w/ chain eyes was the ticket for me.

Some very large shad rolling in the shallows at twilite - but did not hook them. Will try again tonite.
