Default Aaron ran into a guy snorkeling the river

    Bill

Missed a few fish on the A but more importantly a snorkeler (sounded a lot like Bill Lowe but we couldn't tell as he was in a wet suit/mask) told us he was seeing numerous schools of shad throughout the river and rampant stripers wherever there is cover. Looks like things should be heeting up. Will be out there again at the crack of dawn.

    See you tomorrow.

I think it's closed to night fishing above Hwy 80 on the lower American?

You can fish all night at the mouth of the American and the mouth of the Feather Rivers. That has been popular especially in June when it warms up a bit.

Casting lead-core line from an anchored boat at night time is really different.
