Do you know the length of that runner ??
If you could ..... have Andy or one of the guys take it outside and see how much it stretches - if it's actually made w/ a GSP core .... it shouldn't stretch much .
I've been looking for a low-stretch running line forever !
David
The monic does not stretch - check out the spey pages - you may need to search but there is alot of discussion about it on several threads - one by Ed Ward who first wrote about using it - it sounds like it is a great running line - I expect I will scrap my slick shooter and go with this stuff in the fall
David - here is the post by Ed - there are others also but this gives a good description of it

Thanks for the link , Rick .
Do you know what the length is , per chance ??
I can see a few of those in my future ........ no more dropping Ladyfish at max distance !!

Another running line option to look at is the Airflo Non Stretch Miracle Braid line. It's a braided line with a low stretch core. It sounds like it's similar to Maxs Garths stuffed lines.

Miracle Braid shoots like crazy...the noise going through the guides drove me nuts. I had the feeling that the stuff was sawing my guides off with each cast...just my imagination, I'm sure.
finally got the monic to try out this weekend ( I think it is around 100 feet)Both the 0.024 and 0.030 have the same core rated at 72#.
A post on the spey pages said someone had problems with th 0.024 tangling very badly so I opted for the 0.030 stuff and I am sold - this stuff was wonderful to use - quite flexible and little if any tangling and the tangles, when they happened, came out easily and did not leave a permanent kink in the line like the slick shooter.
I set up a system for my 6126 with a 450 skagit and this as the running line - I really was impressed over the 3 days of playing with it
Rick,
Did you get any "tugs" on the new line? Bill and I are headin up in the morning.
T.
Terry - we did pretty good for this early in the season - see my post up in the steelhead board.
Hope you and Bill get into them - some of the trees ara already starting to color up
