Default The Bggest CA Brown I've ever seen...and CAUGHT!!

    I am a lucky man!
I was out fishing on Tuesday here in CA (that's right...not telling) and was lucky enough to not only catch a large brown, but the LARGEST brown I have ever seen pulled out of the water here in CA!!

It was measured at 28 inches and had to weigh at least 8lbs.
On shot is the fish next to my 590 Z-Axis that I caught it one...on 5x!!
Also for perspective, that hands holding the fish belongs to a guy that's about 6 ft 3, local guide Bill Lowe.

The pictures are from my cell phone so the quality isn't great, but you get the idea. I also have a video of the release that once again, isn't great but you can see how HUGE this monster was!! I would be happy to email it to anyone interested, just message me!!

That is a majestic "fish of a lifetime" especially on a light 5x tippet.

I put on a #12 'Buck Caddis' dry (Elk Hair Caddis not invented yet) with 5x Cortland 'Nylorfi' tippet material and landed a 5# plus wild Rainbow trout.

Not quite in golden gate park, but getting warmer!

I was fishing a yellow and brown leach with a little bit of flash in it on a floating line.
