    Default Favorite LaFontaine Fly?

I've been really into Gary LaFontaine patterns lately, reading The Dry Fly: New Angles and Trout Flies: Proven Patterns.

Any success stories and recommendations for when/where to use a LaFontaine? I want to tie (try) a few over the next couple of weeks.

    RICK,

Gary's Double Wings have become a standard attractor for me in these past 5 years.. if you match the colour to the prevailing light situation they Really do work..

His Halo Emergers also have become something i Know will produce of me

I always have the Lady Heather with me on Overcast/slightly rainy days...

I Just love the Airhead & Mohawk patterns, they are a blast to work thru a run and watch the trout Go Berserk on...

I'm Never without his Emergant Sparkle Pupas or his Crystal wing Spinner....

That is a Great Book and I always recommend Anyone to read it..over & over....

Right on the money Deano. Olive and tan are both worth having in the collection.
