Spring Photos

I guess i will start the new one.

These were all taken out back today in between the rain.









A lot of these guys were closed up due to the weather, and i just loved the look i could get. I am not sure if anyone
else will like it, so tell me what you think.

Beautiful! Number 1 and 4 really does it for me. I like the last one as well, kind of "alienish".

All of these were with a d50, vivitar 90mm 2.5 macro, and sb600. I am not sure about the shooting data as it is an all
manual lens and i don't have a good enough memory to keep track. I am pretty sure most of them were around f/4-f/5.6.

Nice shots. It is always a fun experiment to do macro and play with depth of field. I like the rose and was thinking that the yellow flowers would be fun to play with in a photo manipulation program. My favorite of all was the yellow with the sun in the background and the lens reflections in it. Just strikes me as interesting.

Since you are starting this one do you want to say macro or close ups of things in this thread.

BTW what tripod head are you using mine loosend up and won't work and I have to get a new one....Craig.

I really don't care too much, i think anything would be fine.

I have a kirk bh-3. It is a sweet head and works great with my 300, but it is somewhat expensive, about $250.
I am sure there are other cheaper heads, like manfrotto's, that would work just fine.

Also, these were all handheld with the help of a sb-600 (flash).

I also like taking pictures of flowers, but I don't have much time lately to search for them, I did however find this picture, not nearly artistic as the both of yours but I like it.
