Caples, silver and red lakes are still frozen. There is some thawing at the spillway of silver. the road to blue lakes is also still closed. The snow is very thin up there, almost all melted. I think it's going to be a dry year.

Has anyone fished or driven by the lakes near Carson pass? Wondering if they are still frozen. Thanks!

They are fishable now. Should be pretty good too.

Silver has been iced out a couple of weeks.
Bear river is clear and nailed a few planters from the kayak.
Caples was about 90% ice two sundays ago, might be clear by now, I'll try and drive by during the week and look.
