2007 Shad Season

The earliest that I have caught Shad was with a buddy up at Verona on May 1. Anyone caught anything local befor that ? Bryan

I heard that they are starting to be caught on the Feather. They should be in the A. soon. I'm starting to tie jig head shad flies. Thanks Terry Thomas for the tips. Jeff C.

A few years ago I was fishing Sailor Bar in August and landed 35 shad in the morning. That was the latest I have ever got into them. There was actually one other fly fisherman there at the time. Sometimes you say what the heck and just give it a shot and get lucky.
