    Default Pyramid Permits?

I am heading to Pyramid Lake next Friday and plan on fishing at Sunrise. Is there any place open to purchase my permit at 5:00 or 6:00 am? Thanks for the help.

    Default Fishing Permits....

Unless you want to go up the evening before, you're stuck with whatever the opening time for the permit station at the lake or Crosby's is. Permits can be purchased in Reno at The Reno Fly Shop and, I believe, at Mark, Fore & Strike, also in Reno. There is one store on the road to the Lake (Pyramid Hwy, Nevada 33) just inside the reservation boundary that opens fairly early but not sure of the exact hour.

There are, undoubtedly other stores where permits can be purchased in Reno/Sparks, too.

    Good luck on your trip.

The store by the check station usually opens at 7. I've gotten permits at the retaurant/bar in Sutcliffe before dawn, probably about 6 am. So if it's real early plan on getting it in Sutcliffe if the store by the check station is closed. Or get them at Reno fly the night before. It's $9 /day + $1 vendor fee or $74/season + $1 vendor fee this year.

It's not getting light until about 6:15 right now.

As you drive through Sparks there is a Winners Circle gas station on your right side they are open 24 hrs. and have all the permits.
