Very few days on the water, super light rig. Excellent condition. $575 or make an offer.
I had the Subaru Crosstrek for 2 years and it was almost perfect. Cheaper and smaller than the Forrester, had good clearance, could fit 9' rods all rigged up. Decent mpg but no horsepower. AC...
I like these discussions. I have very little patience and even less time on the water so when I do get to fish, I keep it simple and quick to rig up. To me that means tapered leaders, a tippet ring...
Two of my most favorite things on the planet. Fly fishing and Star Wars!!!!!!!!
Just make sure the water isn't too warm.
I fished the North Yuba over the weekend and it was fishing very well. Small fish but eager to take dries or nymphs for that matter. It's a fun and beautiful river. Flows and water temps were...
Had a pair of 3 yr old Freestone boots that had the insole come apart on me. I emailed Simms and they told me to send them in for evaluation. I was ready to buy a new pair and just move on from...
Funny topic. It seems like some of the younger fly fisherman (35yrs or younger) are sporting flat brim ball caps and big beards on their instagram accounts. I'm 40 in a few days, can't grow a beard...
Hit the Truckee yesterday. Put the bobber rig down, fished a streamer and finally connected on the swing. That's the REAL DEAL! A sexy 20" bow (was hoping it was my first sizable brown, but that...
Has anybody used the Frequency line yet? At $50, wondering how good they are.

Right on Tayler!
Sea run cutthroat?
Fished yesterday, second time to the Yuba, first time wading it. Let me just say it sure is a heck of alot easier from a drift boat during the egg bite! Fished from 11am-3pm all hook-ups coming...
Do us a favor and get a helmet cam! That would've been a good fight to see.
I was lucky enough to fish the Trinity last Fri/Sat and I can't stop thinking about steelhead. I got skunked up there, and I can hardly sleep. I need a fix!
I spent Fri/Sat up there, fished Douglas and Junction areas with the only take from a half pounder on a glo-bug. What's that nymph called? We didn't do too well despite seeing plenty of fish. Not...
What a beauty! Are you the only dude fishing the Rogue? :D
Why don't you tell me where he is, and I'll try a few things and get back to you. LOL:D!
I like the hat. That's how real fly fisherman do it!
Yep, and the weeds in the water pretty much have you cleaning your flies after every drift. Putah is where I learned, pretty much every other stream is a cake walk.

A waterproof camera. But here's the deal. If you forget it in the car, you will catch a fish worthy of a quick photo. If you do remember to stuff it in your vest, you'll catch dinks all day long....
Pretty much always a PT. Just change sizes as needed.
I always check Bigfly's posts before hitting the Truckee. It always pays! (Thanks Jim). I fished Saturday and it was outstanding. But, most fish were caught early. We should of took a nap through...
Wow, great pics. Gotta love California!
