I was up river of JC on Friday morning--didn't see a thing--headed down river and saw a bunch of trucks and trailers from JC downriver for about 3 miles--went down and hit Del Loma and again, no fish...
Excellent. Thanks, Bill.

Check frequently because they don't post too far...
I heard that they are going to increase the flows from 450 to over 1,000 (3,000?) in the upper river starting next Wednesday the 15th--might want to check the flows if you are going next week.
A friend of mine and I had the pleasure of being guided by StevenB a week ago today (for my 50th birthday). Without question, it was the best guide experience we have ever had. Steven knows every...
Thanks alot, guys. I appreciate the info and will report if I end up going. -Rob
I was thinking about wading the upper section of the Lower Sac and noticed the flows rose from 3,200 to 4,500 over the last couple of days.
Kenny Priest's report this week mentions that the hatchery may be releasing the smolts this week. Does anyone know if this is true?
Here's an interesting paper about the lifecylce of Klamath River steelhead written someone at U. C. Davis. http://watershed.ucdavis.edu/scott_river/docs/reports/Josh_Israel.pdf Pretty dense in parts...
Thanks very much Shawn and Rick.
My fishing buddy is headed to Portland in late July for work and I am thinking of meeting up with him to look for some of those summer run fish I have only heard about. We will be wading and...

Right on the money! For bird hunting I could envision a roto decoy vs. no roto debate, pointers vs. flushers...it never ends.
Hey Guys:
I am heading to the Rogue this weekend to break in my 11' 7wt TFO switch rod. It is loaded with a 9wt Rio Steelhead/Salmon floating line (manufacturer's recomendation) and I have been...
Oteman: Streamtime makes a map of the Rogue--it shows lots of areas with access for guys wading--you could also call Will Johnson at the Ashland Fly shop 541-488-6454--he's very helpful--good luck
Thanks pm--you are correct, it's Will Johnson of the Ashland Fly Shop 541-488-6454. Seems like a really nice guy. I'll let ya know how it goes. -Rob
Thanks for all the suggestions guys. We ended up contacting the Ashland Fly Shop and they have set us up. The owner, Tim, is going to meet us on the river in the afternoon the day before to show us...
Hey Guys: I'm planning a trip up to the Rogue in late October and am looking for guide. Does anyone have any recommendations? Thanks very much. -Rob
We did have a day to remember and Charlie really busted his butt to get Mike those fish--I can't thank him or recommend him highly enough. I will send pictures when I get them off my camera. Thanks...
Morning Guys: My fishing partner starts a new job next Monday, so we decided to drive up to Yreka tonight and head West on 96 with a Streamtime map in hand first light tomorrow morning. We have...
I haven't read either of those, but The Complete Steelheader by John Larison is excellent for someone new to the sport. It provides detailed discussions of the fish and their lifecycles and all of...
Nice fish, but I especially like the duck calls.
Was out there a couple days last week on the upper section--saw only a couple of other fishermen (except down below the dam at dusk) and the fly water is now closed--Herb at the TFS said a few fish...
I'm only 6'4" but the water was very fishable in the fly section yesterday. Smolts everywhere with plenty of 10 to 12 inch hatchery rainbows fighting over anything floating their way. Didn't see...
