We were in our float tubes.
Fished today. Been really cold. Today was first day with no wind since Thursday. Strip bite was pretty good on midnight buggers and boobies.
Thanks for the info
What area where u fishing ?
Well said. Only other suggestion, Tip #8 - Bring a spin rod too with a few Sierra spoons and marabou jigs.
Most of the time I use. A 300-350 grain or full sink type 5.
This year is def diff. I pretty much tube pyramid all year long. Just gotta look at weather forecasts and don’t go if looks sketchy. Went last week and fished 3 days. Slow pick with the best...
What questions do u have? Having a fish finder helps quite bit looking for drop offs and depth.
Float tube. Fishing 14-20 ledge. Out there it was around 64 degrees.
Water is clear and shoreline packed with baitfish. Was stripping booby/streamer with full sink 5 and had steady pick. Got 11. Pulled the hook on 4 others. No big fish, biggest was 7-8 lbs.
I been there this time of year where the gates have been locked and u cannot drive down to launch ramp or any access points. This time of year the main ramp and the area toward where the creek comes...
All I know is he had the best materials, from the shuck, dyed saddles and marabou. The new stuff doesn’t even compare. His nephew/relative had a shop in Orange County where we bought all our...
We been using s/a uniform sink. We fish sink 4 most of the time but also have sink 5 too if fish really deep. Sink 2 is really good too for fishing weed beds and depths up to 7ft or so.
Yup. Unless it’s windy. We tube there most of the time even though we have the ladder/chairs. Gonna be getting cold,
but so far wind doesn’t look like it will be a problem. Gonna fish next Sat...
Sounds like u guys did pretty good. need to figure that lake out. Frenchman should be good right now but still haven't gone. Been getting ready to fish pyramid next week.
Think Frenchman Lake should be good too. That’s where we will be going next since Pyramid Lake is not open yet.
My dad and I have super fat cat tubes. We were fishing uniform sink 4 most of the time as we didn't expect the fish to be so shallow. The last day I switched to uniform sink 2 and it was lot better...
Just got back from fishing Crowley. My dad and I fished McGee the first day (Tuesday) and got bout 8 each with few over 18 inches. Lotta short bites and boats but overall very slow. Guide boats...
The newer Jay Fair schuck is not quite the same as the old stuff. Colors are pretty similar. Also the marabou is not same quality. I have enough hackle to last few lifetimes.
His materials, schuck, marabou and hackle in his custom dyed colors were the best.
Still have a bunch of Jay Fair materials from over 25 years ago that we got from one of their relatives shop...
Fish r not on bottom but in 20-30ft suspended. Probably 10-15ft down.
We use sa uniform sink 4 most of time.
I put the report a while back. We went a few weeks after that report to Frenchman and fished same area by launch ramp and worked back toward where water comes in by campground. We till caught...
My ff said 49-50.
