Shad is always a good option. plentiful, active, and fight well.

Both. But definitely not the lodge. Talk about a zoo
I shoot a fair number of ducks each season. I harvest the flank feathers, wings, and CDC but currently have enough for the foreseeable future.
I shoot pintails, teal, spoons, wigeon, a few...
I have a few 10fters- Fenwich Aetos, Redington Vice, BVK, Orvis Clearwater, and Scott Radian.
The Vice and Aetos are my favorites both of which i just bought for less than $120. The Radian can...
How much for the bvks?
Fuller has good access, Rucker less so. Last i was at Rucker, I caught small bass and saw a bunch of catfish, no trout. Fuller would be a better bet. Might want to check the stocking schedule.
Looking for a couple 10ft 5wts preferably in the $100-$200 range. I like the TFO BVK 10ft 5wt. Let me know if you have anything you'd like to sell. Thanks, Daniel
Very nice! Water temps are into the low 60s and the lmb spawn should be in full swing now. Head to disappointment slough tomorrow.
There will probably be fish on beds. Generally I fish slow sinking leaches to bed fish similar to what Mcfish referred to since they will be shallow and sight fishing. When they are on beds it’s not...
Bill is always full of knowledge and it’s awesome he shares so readily! I’ll have to stop by the shop and get a sample swimming frog. Not sure my hair stacking is all that great but we will give it a...
What's your favorite? Decided to make bass my "project/obsession" for the year so starting to fill up my fly box

I fished the Missouri, Henrys Fork and Madison last week. The Henry Forks was slow.
The hopper bite on the Madison was excellent. I fished the wade sections around Raynolds and 3 Dollar. Be sure...
They should remain at about 330 cfs for the rest of the summer on 3 and around 450 on 4 and 5.
Fish it if you get the chance. One of my favorite places in the world. In my opinion, prime time on the HF is Mid-late June for the green drakes/flavs. The salmonflies are always a huge draw but...
What PV said. Respect each others space. If you see someone working a fish, stay off the bank and walk around. Oh and bring your "A" game when it comes to approach.
@bigfly would know
Sounds like you have a great place and am looking forward to seeing the reports. I'll be in Last Chance/Ashton the last week of June for the green drakes. Its a magical place that time of year
Put some UV resin on there for durability. it helps keep the shine of the tinsel.
If you can find a boat to rent, shuttles can be provided by a woman, Kim. Her number is listed on The Fly Shops website when looking at the lower sac fishing report. The fishing should be good this...
Tie on a rubberlegs and a dark mayfly and have at it
My favorite place. A first-class lodge with incredible fishing, food, and people.
[QUOTE=John H;197645]There are a couple of boils that make me nervous. One is below Bonneyview.
Agreed. If you stay left of the boil and dont let the water take you right, you will be fine. With...
There are always fish to be had on the Pit if you're willing to tough out the wading and snakes.
If you are fishing near town, watch out for the rafter hatch. They usually start around 11am-noon in the summer
