I can't speak for that stretch, but I can say that the section below Rollins fishes pretty bad, at least in the easier to access spots. That being said, I've also heard that the section you're...
Thanks for the replies. If I decide to get out there I'll try to post a report.

Anyone had eyes on the yuba recently? I'd expect it's still pretty dirty, but does anyone more familiar with the river have an eta on when it'll be clear again? Thanks!

I've never been to steep before - but if there used to be a root ball in the middle of the river it was gone

Forgot to say, to those that responded - thanks for the advice; the float went well.

Hey all, fishing was pretty slow. The flows were super low, although I'm not sure if it was just for the day or if they've since brought them back up. No fish were landed, only one hook up between...
I'm going to float the low flow for the first time tomorrow... from what I've read it's a pretty easy float, just thought I'd check on here to see if there's anything I should look out for? I was...

Awesome photos and fish! Just out of curiosity, were you able to swing any up, or were they all on the nymph?
Thanks!

Gonna be in Kaui this upcoming late March and started thinking about trying to get some fishing in? Can't find too much info so just wondering if anyone's been there and tried it? Thanks!
NK
Anyone know how far up they are? Don't need specifics, just a ballpark to know how far down I need to drive. Thanks!

Folsom?

Gonna be there next week and might be able to cast a line for an hour or two. Any advice? Never fished around there... would stripers be in? Thanks!

I can confirm that there still are a few big ones in there

I know that landlocked Chinooks have been caught in the North Fork. Don't know if it's an actual consistent spawning run or just a few wayward fish though.

It was really slow yesterday. Between the two if us we hooked only one fish and only saw two guys catch fish the whole day.

Anyone have any info? Gonna be going up soon. Will post a report if I get anything. Thanks!

Nicely put Brian!

Even if holding trout out doesn't increase their chance of dying, I always feel better when I can keep them in the water/in the net for any pictures I take. Better safe than sorry, and fish pictures...
Tie a jellyfish fly and the action might speed up!:D

I used to live near Round Rock... but I moved away when I was 4. If I ever go back to visit, I have to make sure to bring my rod!

What sort of water is this style of boat suitable for?? (What class of water) Would it work in our valley streams? (E.g. Yuba, American, etc??)
I don't have much drift boat experience so any advice...
