It's a busy time of year on both of those waters so I would try and book asap.

In the mornings and evenings you can find them a bit shallower.
The lake is big. This time of year you can...
There has not been anyone the last couple years checking fish, people params etc the last few years. Funding is always an issue as there has been nobody to open the gate generally. And it doesn't...
So you guys drifted worms and killed a bunch of trout.
Not cool.
Go try out Caples lake or Silver lake, a tad past Red lake. Much prettier area and a way better chance at catching fish for everyone.
As Bill said...prince nymphs will work. Stones, phesant tails, hares ear etc.

Pleasant Valley is a couple...
There is a decent amount of snow up here in the mountains still. Creeks and rivers are high and off color due to all the recent warm 70+ degree weather for a few days. Lots of the lakes are still...

We have had a thaw for the last few weeks. The last few days we have had very high night time temps. No where near freezing. And with all the rain the last couple weeks its melting more than you...

You bet! I grew up on the Russian. With all the wineries along the river it doesn't take much for the Russian to muddy up. I'd imagine way back before all the wineries and Ag bs along the...
We got an easy foot in south lake over night. Another foot predicted throughout the day. A bit tomorrow as well. It's dumping good right now. Lots of idiots stuck in the deep ass 4' center divide...
That is too cool Bill!
I too have had to jump in the waves....on my ladder ;)
I agree! But we all know that is too good to be true.
I missed one grab on Sunday. One of my buddies went 2/2 and the other 1/1 and another also got 0.
It's slow out at the lake with the occasional decent days.
Maybe a closure needs to be implemented or petitioned for this time of year...? But, bad word of mouth travels faster than good word of mouth. So im sure those guides fishing a river that "should",...
Fishing a pegged bead properly is in no way "snagging", fish. Fish eat eggs, fish eat bugs, fish eat other fish. As fly fishermen we fish those patterns. So when one is fishing an egg pattern he...
YOu have to pay where you buy your licenses etc. And just make sure you are 100ft from the shoreline.
But yes you are correct. You can camp almost anywhere along the open beaches on the west.
There are not steelhead in Michigan. Just lake run rainbows ;)
Thank you!
I have the same issues. 2 different galvan reels. Both have been returned and fixed. Both still seize up.
Time to go back in the mail I guess.
