That sounds just about ideal Bill. I'm glad you found such a spot.
Happy New Year!
My good buddy Dan and I got out for a day on the Delta with fly guide Bryce Tedford.
It was a bit foggy in the morning, then cleared up with some sun to be a beautiful, windless day. We moved...
Cal Trout is reporting that PG&E has confirmed they will begin removal of two dams- the Scott and Capehorn. Diversion to the Russian is still under discussion.

Beautiful fish and scenery! It's nice to see that these fish are thriving in the Great Lakes region.
I spent a day at Klamath Glen (9/12) and another 9/13) running up river with a guide. The water was clear from Johnsons down. Some steelhead and salmon are both in and scattered around. Not huge...
Cutty 22, thanks for sharing this. I've been curious about the silt and sediment that has built up over the years. I'm glad that it is perceived as non toxic to people, but wont it tend to silt up...
Thanks Mike. I'll give you a call. I'll be coming back from a trip to the Green and SF Snake on the 12th, which I believe will be your departure date, so this trip may not work out.
That's a great idea McFish- thank you. I'll check it out. Thanks all for the other suggestions. This is a great forum and resource!
Central Coast Fly Fishing in Carmel may have them. Richard, who teaches and guides surf fishing makes his own.

Thanks for the report Bwag. It looks like the water was clear enough to find a few fish. Unless your dog started out white...
Did you drive up from 101 (windy ass road) or come down along 96 from...
Thanks for letting me know. I am looking for something smaller. Good luck with it- Ross makes great reels.

Hello dpt. How large is this reel? What line weight is it suited for?
Thanks
Al
I'm interested in a reel and spool for a 6 weight. I'll PM you.

Thanks for posting this YCFly. The graphs of flow spikes are mind boggling! I had no idea that they got such a rain dump.
I notice that the Trinity releases were bumped up to 1000cfs a few days...
What a great post. Thanks Bill!
This is a link to a 30 minute look at what used to be. I remember reading his columns in Field and Stream in the 60s, just fueling my fire to get outdoors.

A brief report on the Klamath Oct 5-6-7th. I stayed in the Happy Camp area and talked with several other fishers. Some fished the immediate area and were catching adults and half pounders. Others,...
I'll be up for a few days next week and back a couple weeks later. I'll try to remember to post some conditions info. Check for a PM.
