Update on the rod holder, it worked out great! Drove up to 80 miles an hour with no issues over a four day period. Long uneven bumpy dirt roads, performed flawlessly.

Well I have been eyeing one of those cool fly rod holder mounts. You know the one the guides use mounted on the hood and roof top of the cars or trucks. I just could not pull the trigger on the Sumo...
Carl Blackledge,
definitely not discouraged. I see something that catches big stripers, and want to try and create something similar to catch the stripers close to home in the reservoirs. I could...
Okay so this is my first rendition of the Pole Dancer. I could see where I could go with this fly and make some improvements on my fly. I have yet to fish it as I'm out of Zap~a~gap to glue on the...
Okay so I'm trying to tie Charlie Bisharat's Pole Dancer. I was peeling back the original $17 fly and the fibers are wrapped around the glass bead and hook... What the heck is up with that? How dose...

Did a little research and have found that there are six species of Amazon parrots found in California. (Red-crowned, Lilac-crowned, Red-lored, Blue-fronted, Yellow-headed, White-fronted, Hybrids)

I'm not sure how the parrots got here, but they are definitely breeding. There is a huge flock of hundreds of parrots that make such a racket when they are flying by.
